HI KVMHA Families,

Now that the season is underway…here are a few updates.

There are lots of flu and stomach bugs etc., around right now. It’s a good time to remind your players, not to share water bottles etc. so germs don’t get spread.

Great news! The Atom A Sabres have started off the Give Back Challenge season! For those new to KVMHA, we are known for the Give Back Challenge. This started several years ago when a Bantam team helped a local neighbor who was ill by raking the leaves in his yard.

Teams who want to participate think of a good deed or community service project. We do it as a way to say thanks to the community for supporting our teams during the year. It can be anything – a food drive, raking leaves, spending time at a local nursing home etc. It’s a great to team build and teach our player the importance of volunteering. If your team decides to do a challenge…snap a pic and send us the details so we can post it on our page to celebrate our players.

If your team needs an idea for a challenge…we have ideas, so drop kvmhacommunications@gmail a line.

Just a reminder that if you need to get a criminal record and vulnerable sector check done, the deadline is fast approaching! This is required for all coaches, on ice help. managers and hockey safety persons. You can do the process online by going to the KV Regional Police website.

Its getting close to Tournament time…..KV is hosting 2 tournaments before Christmas – the KV Kick Off November 22nd to 24th and The Jingle Bell Female Tournament December 6-8th.

Kvmha teams registered for tournaments will get a $250.00 rebate on tournament fees if they volunteer to help with the tournament. If volunteers do not show up for their volunteer time, teams will not receive the rebate.

see you at the rink.
